Emma Woof presented the benefits of becoming a direct employer and outlined the support and advice that People 4 People provide - in the recruitment, employment and management of staff, helping new employers every step of the way, and providing ongoing support and advice for 12 months following every successful PA recruitment.

The People 4 People option to become a direct employer is an really empowering one, is available through Direct Payment or Personal Budgets and is suitable for many different people and situations: vulnerable adults and their carers who are looking for more choice and control; an alternative to a home care service; a more flexible support service; planned respite; companionship. This well attended event enabled staff to directly connect with potential customers - both those looking to employ a PA as well as those looking for work as a Personal Assistant -  and to really spread the word about our unique matching service.

P4P’s stand had a steady stream of enquirers who could also find out more about ISS, the new personalised support service for those not quite ready to employ their own PA.

By the end of the day we had spoken to over a hundred people and all our information packs had been given out. All in all, a very worthwhile day and a chance for us to reach a whole new audience.
